This Project
has been undertaken to perpetuate the memory of Dr. Betty Cowan
who taught us that no-one is unreachable, only un-reached – and
how to reach the un-reached with much-needed, low-cost, timely and
appropriate health care. Thanks to the Friends of Ludhiana (U.K.),
with whose active support and contribution we have been able to
launch the this project with the aim and objective of
capacity-building of partner Mission Hospitals to provide
need-based health outreach services to the population. In this
Project we aim to train Mission Hospitals in Health Management
Information System through our Family Folder methodology, to
enable the peripheral health workers to monitor the community for
surveillance of births, deaths and sickness; to use statistics and
indicators for the purpose of identifying and prioritizing health
needs at family and community level; to take informed action and
monitor progress. |
